We’ve relocated to The Ozarks! We’ve changed our name from Colorado International Film Festival to International Activism Film Festival.
Please note, the old URL will not redirect you! Here is the new one.
We’re changing our name to better reflect our growing online and international appeal. We’re now #IAFF2023 “Please make a note of it. Learn more.
Here are previous years’ awards. Our judges decided on 41 nominations last season. Congratulations! 🎉
Also, starting with #IAFF2023, we’re accepting only SHORT film/video/music submissions, under and equal to 40 minutes, use the SHORT FILM category. We’ll be accepting music videos under 6 minutes, use the MUSIC VIDEO category. We’ll continue to accept scripts of all lengths. If you would like to submit music/song, photography or art that do not qualify as these categories, please contact us for special instructions. We regret we are unable to screen online all of our selections.
Please subscribe today, gift subscriptions are also available to purchase, so be sure to pick up a few for all your peeps, including your showrunners, producers, cast, crew and potential distributors.
Congratulations! In 2021, we received 115 submissions. Our #CIAFF2021 event also started July 23 and was viewed online 24/7 until August 13, 2021. Please share this link and subscribe to events. Submitters, please provide us with your poster, headshot, stills, trailer and submission downloads only via FilmFreeway and/or Vimeo, 1920 x 1080, MP4, preferably. Due to “pandemic” craziness, #CIAFF2020 was held online July 24 – August 14. That year, we received 100+ submissions. Nominees, awards and more.
“By screening online in a fixed-term, pay-wall enforced, official festival capacity, your submission is not earning revenue or being sold to consumers in a traditional VOD market and, therefore, remains viable for future sales opportunities.” If it’s good enough for SXSW, it’s good enough for us!
Please consult the Vimeo OTT platform directly for additional rules. We very much appreciate your positive reviews. Thanks for sharing our laurels, awards and posts with your social media to include Twitter, Parlor, Instagram, and Facebook. We anticipate submissions from many countries. Activists generally submit short & feature-length films, screenplays, music/songs, art and photos for consideration by our team of 3-8 judges, which may change seasonally.
As our festival grows locally in popularity & sponsorship, we hope to invite sponsors, partners & volunteers. We hope to hold panels and debates. In the meantime, our events may be lightly attended, so please plan accordingly.
All plans and practices are subject to change without notice. If you’re interested in volunteering, helping judge submissions and/or writing film & music reviews, which we may publish at our websites, please don’t hesitate to TEXT/CALL (720) 298-1524.
